source:commercialmotor author: time:2014-05-06

St Austell, Cornwall-based independent scrap processing merchant Henry Orchard & Sons has bought a pair of 8x4 Mercedes-Benz Arocs with 394hp Euro-6 engines and multi-lift hook loading gear.

They will collect scrap in 40yd3 bins from local authorities, factories, Ministry of Defence establishments and demolition sites in Devon and Cornwall. The vehicles are fitted with the optional Predictive Power Control system.

MD Henry Orchard said: "The Arocs is clearly a strong, well-built truck, while its low-emission Euro-6 engine can only enhance our environmental credentials and help to reduce our carbon footprint."

The vehicles are being serviced by City West Commercials in Roche, under five-year repair and maintenance contracts.
